Public Health are predicting a surge in the number of people who will get pneumonia over the next couple of weeks.

Our colleagues in Public Health are predicting a surge in the number of people who will get pneumonia over the next couple of weeks. It is important  that if you have COPD that you ensure you have sufficient supply of inhalers and your other medication (including your rescue pack of antibiotics and steroids) and that you try and avoid mixing with people who already have coughs and colds over this time. Can we also take this opportunity to remind you to ensure you have had your flu vaccine this year and that you have had your pneumococcal vaccine in the past. Finally if you are still smoking we would encourage you to consider stopping to help your chest, discuss this at the surgery when you next attend.

For those who don't have COPD please contact us if you have a cough and fever that seems worse than usual, particularly if you are getting short of breath.

Welcome to St. Annes Group Practice

We are a friendly practice with a strong, integrated health care team of 9 doctors, 7 nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants a Phlebotomist, Paramedic Practitioner, Practice Pharmacist and an experienced support team of administrators/receptionists all of whom are committed to delivering a high quality service to our patients.

In addition to St. Anne's we have a branch surgery in Beltinge.

History of The Practice

The practice was formed in April 1996 by amalgamating the existing practices for Dr R Wheeldon & Partners and D H R Cleverley & Partners. Both of the practices were already based as St. Anne’s Surgery. They both stemmed from practices, which had moved to St. Anne’s Surgery in 1972 when it was the first purpose built surgery in the town. The newly amalgamated practice now looks after some 15,000 patients at St. Annes and the branch surgery at Beltinge.
