We offer a Duty Dr clinic every morning Monday - Friday at St Anne's Surgery.
The main aims are to:-
Increase access to appointments and offer greater flexibility and convenience to patients
To better manage "on the day" demand
To reduce the length of wait for "non-urgent" appointments
To increase the number of "pre-bookable" appointments that can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance
To reduce the number of unattended appointments
How does it work?
A Duty Dr will run a clinic each morning Monday - Friday
The clinic will run from 08.40 - 12.30
Patients wishing to see a specific Dr will be asked to book a routine appointment
Reception may ask you several questions in order to establish if your problem is appropriate for this clinic
In order for this service to work effectively, we ask that patients please remember:
Appointments are for 5 minutes only
One patient and one problem per appointment
Repeat prescriptions will not be issued during a consultation as there are better ways to deal with this (please discuss with reception)
Ongoing less urgent problems or long term conditions would be best dealt with by your regular GP who is familiar with your condition and medical history. Please book a routine appointment with reception.
